TWO FUNDRAISING IDEAS SASK HAS DONE WHICH PROVED TO BE WORTHWHILE:

 STEAK NIGHT/SILENT AUCTION:

1. Need a basic committee & someone in charge & lots of great volunteers & donations
2. Get a great MC & some background music
3. This is also a perfect time to invite old-timer shuffleboard players (make it a reunion) Art & Irene Evans helped us with this
4. We did in February so Valentine theme was used
5. Print out tickets on business cards (sold for $15 per person), do posters, sponsor board, bidding sheets,
6. Get shuffleboard teams to put gift baskets together
7. • Anything to do with Liquor, Framed Art or Hotel Jacuzzi Nights were a hit
8. Some other Auction items were:
   • BBQ with supplies i.e. utensils, sauces, BBQ recipe book, apron
   • NASCAR items
   • Rod's business donated a Lawn Care Package worth $300
   • Or You can put items together such as:
   • Snakes & Ladders drinking game with bottle of Sambuca & blanket
   • Restaurant Gift Certificate with tickets to Football Game or Theatre
9. We did 2 - 50/50 draws & 2 Baskets of Booze draws & Horse Races thru-out evening
10. We had a Mystery raffle: tickets sold thru-out evening, draw after Auction (all items were wrapped & list of contents given to winner & announced by MC - we included - $50.00 Gift Card for The Keg, Set of 6 Handmade Valentine Cards & Envelopes, Bottle of Champagne, Stainless Steel Champagne Bucket, Set of Champagne Etched Glass Flutes with Tray, Bernard Callebaut Chocolates, Body Shop Gift Box, The Little Brown Book of Drinking Games, Victoria's Secret Pear Glacé Body Spray, Cinnamon Hearts, Worded Valentine Candy, Stuffed Pink Dog, Heart Shaped Candles), some of items were donated & some purchased by SSA

SURVIVOR:

1. When there are 16 or more, started when down to 15 survivors
   
2. Each person or team pays $100.00
   
3. Draw done like a draft; all names of individuals/teams go into a hat, first individual/team drawn gets to pick their Survivor and so on, last individual/team drawn gets last survivor
   
4. Winner gets $1,000.00, 2nd place $100 & League gets $400
   
5. You can double draft to 30 & have 2 Winners & $800 go to League.
